My FULL 1:400 scale collection

View attachment 58777

Models 13 and 14 were sold in the same box! These sets of multiple models were common back in the 2000s from GJ, and this one here is the America West 737-200 bundle, which was released in April 2005, not too long before America West went bust. These are two of my more unique models in the collection, which I got for an absolute STEAL in a bid on eBay. These were also the last models I got in the first “era” of my collection, before I made model airport updates. The models are rather undetailed (Makes sense, it was a model from 2005) and the models do not fit very well into my current collection, being retro models. But soon i will start the retro US collection, and these will finally come in handy!

MODEL(s) INFORMATION
Airline: America West (old and new liveries)
Aircraft: Both 737-200

Brand: Gemini Jets (Gemini Jets II)
Item #: GJAWE542
Acquired: September 2024

I see these on ebay from time to time. Hasn’t crossed paths the right way for purchasing yet but it’s on my list. Usually you can find these for decent prices there luckily from time to time!

And here we are… One of my favorite models in my collection, Model #16 in the collection was this United A321neo, acquired in late December 2024, and was the first step in truly expanding the collection. I have always been fond of United’s Airbus fleet, and hope i can get this A321neo some A319 and A320 siblings when they get re-released. I’m actually flying one of these to Florida next year… maybe it’s the same airframe. All things considered, this was a pretty good little model. I hear a lot of people complain about GJ’s A321neo, especially about the engines, but the NG A321neo has engines of a very similar size, so I don’t really see the problem. It is a great model, and I’m glad to have it in my collection.

MODEL INFORMATION
Airline: United Airlines
Aircraft: Airbus A321neo
Registration: N44501

Brand: Gemini Jets

And finally, here is the first model of 2025. During 2025 my collection was booted from 16 to 58 models, a sharp spike in growth fueled by a new job getting me some more spending money to work with. And the first model of this year, was this DHL 777F. This was both the first cargo plane in my collection, but also the first Interactive model in the collection, as well as being my second 777 family model. I got this big bird here in January 2025, right after new years. It was and still is a mainstay of my collection, though my 757 cargo planes I have got more recently have really taken the spotlight now. The right engine broke off cleanly shortly after I got this model, but was easily repaired. Overall, a great model to start 2025 off right.

MODEL INFORMATION
Airline: DHL (op/d by Kalitta)
Aircraft: Boeing 777F
Registration: N774CK

Brand: Gemini Jets (again)
Item #: GJDHL2143
Release: December 2022
Acquired: January 2025

A few days after that DHL arrived, Model 17 showed up in the mail. An essential model for a Pacific Northwest based collection, and one that has been well used. Though the 757s still fly, these and the A321neo’s are beginning to replace them. Eventually I want to have every Icelandair aircraft type, but for now the MAX 8 will do.

MODEL INFORMATION
Airline: Icelandair
Aircraft: Boeing 737 MAX 8
Registration: TF-ICE

Brand: Gemini Jets (I promise, NG is coming soon)
Item #: GJICE2123
Release: August 2022
Acquired: January 2025

Another model! And this one happens to be my rarest. (Im copy pasting this story from a different thread, don’t want to write another whole paragraph here.)

I got the Orbis gifted to me by my dad a year ago, he got it from my grandmother’s lawyer, Lesra Martin, who represents Orbis as their lawyer I believe. Now while my dad and his lawyer were talking, he mentioned that he worked for Orbis, and my dad responded that his son (me) loved planes and collected models. Wouldn’t you know it, but guess who also collected model airplanes? Lesra Martin! He gave my dad one of the few rare Gemini Jets Orbis company exclusive MD-10’s to give to me and the rest is history!

The guy who gave it to my dad is a very interesting person, he actually had a movie made about him and a person he represented in court called “The Hurricane”, it’s a great film, about a really interesting case.

Anyhow, this is probably the pride of my collection, the only super rare model I have.

This model used to be a FedEx DC-10, and its last flight was to Tulsa, OK.

Model 19 arrived in early February. Finally, a non-GJ model in the collection. This was a well needed NG models release, with most United 767-300’s costing hundreds of dollars. This was around when I first really got into this hobby, after a few of my updates began gaining traction, I started watching other model aviation YouTubers and that led be to find a YesterdaysAirlines release tier list for the January NG release, and the second I saw that 763, I preordered it. From this point on I began being more aware of new releases.

NG has a decent 767-300 Mould. Some people complain about the winglets but I do not see a problem with them. This is one of my favorite models to this day, because I got it shipped from China RIGHT before tariffs kicked in, which skyrocketed the price on the model in the US.

Registration: N673UA

Brand: NG Models (My first one at the time)

Great great model. Currently, this one (and the patched fuselage version lol) is still the only 767-300 released by NG, apart from a blank model

Here’s a big milestone, the twentieth model in my fleet. I got this from the same Oregon museum that I got the Delta 767-400 at, almost exactly a year later too. This would be the last model added to my collection for a while, I was saving a lot for a bigger purchase. Though it may be an old model, this doesn’t disappoint. Only major flaw is that the bottom piece of the fuselage gets easily stuck to stands when you prop it up, and as they are plastic stands, they break very easily.
