My FULL 1:400 scale collection

I have seen several other threads about collections, and I figured it’s time to start my own. I currently have 56 models in my collection, with 8 of those on order currently. I have been collecting since October 2021. I collected slowly for a couple years then unfortunately left the hobby behind. But seeing a couple videos from creators like Model Aviation, MileHigh aviation and at the time, JJ Skippy, in 2024 I reignited my passion for collecting model aircraft by buying two models to bring my total collection (at the time) to Ten models. Growth was slow over 2024, picking up around October of that year, when I started making model aircraft videos on Youtube, and then slowing down. Right when I first joined MAF, my collection sat at around 25 Models. It has now doubled over the summer to the current total.

Anyhow that’s the main history of my collection trends, I mostly collect US and Japanese models.

Now the first model I ever got was in 2021, when I was still quite young. I got a Gemini Jets WestJet Saab 340. In hindsight, I should have picked up a United Express aircraft, back when they were still being released by GJ (They have since fixed that problem).

Aircraft: Saab 340B

Acquired: October 2021
Item #: GJWJA1821

This model has served me well for years. I’m glad to own it, it is a great little model and a must-have for anyone wishing to make a Canadian fleet. It’s rather unfortunate these have been retired though.

I will keep updating this thread with my models, and I will be going in chronological order of me acquiring them

Second day, second model! The second (and third) models I ever got were the Egyptair Boeing 707-320’s from GJ. Not the most helpful models to my collection, but interesting adds regardless. These were both gifted to me by two separate people in December 2021.

The models are not very detailed, but that makes sense due to the old age of these models.

Airline: EgyptAir’
Aircraft: Boeing 707-320

Acquired: December 2021
Item #GJMSR164

This is the oldest GJ model in my collection, but i do have one older model which I will cover later.

So basically you have two of them?

Third day, fourth model. Also acquired in December 2021, this was my first Widebody, and one of the most important models in my collection. This was also a gift, and is still one of my favorite aircraft in my collection. I would also count this as the first model in my Asian collection.

MODEL INFORMATION
Airline: Air China
Aircraft: Airbus A350-900

Acquired: December 2021
Item#: GJCCA1748
Registration: B-1086
Release: May 2018

It’s a pretty good quality model. The mould is fine, and the livery looks great. Glad to own one of these.

Fourth day, Fifth model!

Aquired much later, in August 2022, this was an essential model for my collection… until a couple months ago. I used this as a charter or cargo aircraft for much of it’s life. The photo displayed here was of my model airport all the way back in March 2025.

It’s a great model, however the left main gears did break off, but I have since glued them back on.

Airline: British Airways “Animals and Trees” Livery
Aircraft: Boeing 757-200

Acquired: August 2022

Served me well. I no longer have a big use for the model, but it’s nice to have.

Another model!
The 6th and 7th models in my collection were two of these GJ Alaska Airlines 737-900ER’s in the UNCEF livery. These were the first real useful models to my collection, having acquired them in December 2022. They were also the last models I got for a couple years, as I temporarily stopped collecting.

One of these two models is broken, the right tail wing broke off, and I unfortunately lost it.

My 8th model!
This model was acquired in May 2024, after getting back into model collecting, I got this and another model. The engine was a leaning upwards a little but I’ve fixed it. Overall a great model, and one that really started my collection as I know it today.

Ninth model! I received this model in the same box as my United MAX. It’s a great model, strangely better quality than a lot of people’s instances of this model. Unfortunately, I did accidentally cause one of the rear tailwings to fall off. It’s glued and looks good as new now. This was my first regional jet and still is my only Delta Connection model, though I do plan to get more.

My tenth model! This was a big milestone, I bought this model from the Oregon Air and Space Museum in Eugene, OR. They have a large selection of models from the 2000s, and I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. This was my second widebody, and for a while, my only mainline Delta Airlines model for more than a year. This was also my first non-GJ model in my collection. Nowadays, my collection is still mostly Gemini but I do have more NG, JC and Phoenix in the collection.
