My East Asia Collection Project

As seen in the Show Your Latest Purchase thread, I acquired six new East Asia models. Let's look at each one of them to see what this means for the project.

Starting with the tiniest and working our way up, we have this Fuji Dream Embraer 175 by JC. Starz10p made a good thread about the airline and its models in 400 scale, but this is a Japanese regional airline that mostly flies to smaller and medium-sized airports in the country, like Izumo or Kochi. With them having different colors for every plane in the fleet, this will be an airline to fleet build for some variety; right now I have just the silver one.

Now onto a bunch of A321neos, a very common type over in East Asia; first up is Air Busan. They are a South Korean LCC based out of Busan operating as a subsidiary of Asiana Airlines and fly across East Asia utilizing A320 family aircraft, including the A321LR which this aircraft NG made (HL8394) is one of them.

This same friend was also happy to see me get this Philippines example by NG. The card that came with this model netted me a nice bonus for EarlyBird; I got four points, whereas the others I still got one EarlyBird point. So far, this is the only PAL A321neo that features the cockpit mask, and honestly it looks better this way and differentiates the standard A321s a little more easier.

Lastly for now is this ANA 777-200ER by Phoenix. I believe these have a high density cabin for the high-demand routes out of Haneda to places like Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo. Regardless, this compliments my 777-300ER very well, a duo I'd never thought I would get together.

Next up is Cathay Pacific released by Panda Models. A friend encouraged me to get this after I saw it on Waffle Collectibles for just $40, and knowing this would be my first Cathay model I had to get it. There will definitely be room made for a widebody, like a 777 or A350.

Second up is another Japanese airline, a Skymark Boeing 737-800 by NG. They are headquartered at Tokyo Haneda Airport and fly across the country with only the 738, but they will be getting MAX 8s next year and MAX 10s in 2027. They previously ordered the A380 but never got them.

Great set of models JJ! This really does kick off the collection! Glad to see the collection really starting up, and all these models look great! I might have to get that Fuji Dream at some point. Can’t wait to see what you get next!
