Mould Review - Fokker 70/100

Fokker 100 and 70 had so many operators, so many liveries still waiting to be released. Quite odd to see how GJ still didn't release American Airlines and US Airways, for example. I'm glad they released a TAM in the old livery 🥰 TAM was a major operator of the Fokker 100, and it was great to finally see it represented in 1:400.

As @YesterAirlines said, this one needs a rerelease:

At LEAST 10 from my quick search were painted on the navy scheme too. This would be a great release:

An odd choice but would be a funny one. This mismatched door Fokker:

America West operated the 70 variant under the Express label. I think one was made before but getting it updated with antennas and new gear would be great!

An AA rerelease would be very welcome too:

Been lobbying for the dark US F100 for years! Y’all need to go ping Todd Models and hopefully make this a reality

A little latin F100 wishlist. Few are still missing though..

The Tyrolean F70 is high on my list. The stripes on the wingtips are an awesome touch. It’s a shame JC chose the star alliance livery when they made this back in 2008, the standard livery seems much more fun to me.

Todd has made it pretty clear he doesn't have much pull with release choices... Seems like Elliot has most pull on that. I also notice that most of these older molds that have been collecting dust for some time only see the light of day if you start seeing them pop up in the JC announcements. Seems they don't service older molds for a one-time release but only when both JC and Gemini decide to pump out a handful of different subjects collectively.

Seems like only retro subjects Elliot is interested in or he thinks will sell well will get made. I remember suggesting a Republic MD-80 to Todd in 2024 and he didn’t think Elliot would want to make it. Maybe he’s had a change of heart since then?

I do think there is somewhat of a shifting trend going on with this sentiment at GJ as they have been touching on classic material as of late undoubtedly. But in terms of mold usage like an RJ-85 or in this case a Fokker, I don't see it being used unless you start seeing release announcements coming on the JC side as I'm sure there are some large cost constraints to blow the dust off the mold and get them in production again. One could argue the classic material coming from GJ as of late are on molds that have already been in use to make modern release choice i.e. 757, 717, MD-90, MD-88 just to name a few.
