Model Review - Pan Am Boeing 747-121 N747PA HX Models

This week's detailed review takes one of the 5 Pan Ams and looks a little closer at it. For that purpose I have selected what was often considered the fleet flagship since it carried the N747PA rego and was used in the early promotional tour by PA.

I think HX could have generated more sales had they made 747PA in its earlier "rollout" livery instead of doing them all in this standard (early) scheme. Maybe they'll do it later on (together with some tweaks maybe 🫢 )?
I'm surprised about the two different greys for wings and wing body fairing in your pics. Didn't see this on earlier pics of these.

That would have been good. They probably didn't realise it existed and I guess there's a cost saving as it is, although small in this case I agree

I may get the term wrong but rollout and promo should be the same. It was repainted prior to delivery in the "standard" as done by HX.
Most pics available (like the air-to-airs) show the promo. The main difference are smaller titles and tail logo on the promo.
