After a long wait a huge flood of new Aviation400 A350s have hit the market all fitted with magnetic gear. I know some users aren't a fan (I'm looking at you @Jazajia ;) ) and these are unlikely to change their minds, but I am pleased with the choice AV400 brings. The mag gear works excellently, and there have been other positive changes to the mould made as well:

Unfortunately, the winglets haven't been updated yet.

I'm no AV400 or A350 expert, but I see the antennas seem to have been refined and those silly red beacons are gone, both of which are good things.

I don't mind magnetic landing gears, I have yet to see them in person in 400 scale. My gripe is with the peeps who get fooled by the gimmicks into thinking that these molds are best in class. They are okay, better than others in some cases, and indeed the best in some other cases I guess (A380). But some of their molds leave much to be desired (777). Yet people (some good friends actually) continue to say they are the best in 400 scale, which I think is an erroneous opinion influenced by the gimmicks, but whatever makes us happy.

Edit: I see the red beacons are still there... 🙂

IMG_8405.jpegSince I was pretty critical about the Gemini winglet paint error I also looked at the Aviation and found few errors as well unfortunately. The registration on the NLG door should be white not black / the registration on the back of the fuselage blue not black and the dome appears too tall (see picture) in my eyes. I still perceive these to be less obvious than the winglet topic. Phoenix also messed up the reg colors but prefer their dome. So there is still room for somebody to release a proper EDW 350 :)

I haven't seen any images with the reg on the nosegear being white. The current aircraft still wears an OE- reg and the rego is black in a white square. The current regos are all black.

I think it is up in the air what colour the rego will be, but at the moment the model isn't incorrect as far as I can see?

The fan blades and what look like smaller aerials are welcome improvements… But the winglets are just too off.

The airline posted an amazing video 3 months ago about the paint work where all can be seen here the link WK A350

I got my StarLux livery today. Still good, but imo no as detailed as the new or modified mould like the A330neo and B787s.

I did appreciated the modification of aerials and beacons, they're now in a more properly scale. But the domes still looked too abrupt.
