Gemini don't produce a lot of models that fit my collection criteria, however I have a soft spot for their interactive series and a new sponsorship with @YankeeVictor400.com gives me the opportunity to take a closer look at February's Atlas Air release. It's a lovely model, but also illustrates GJ's tendency to cut corners:

Good review. It's hard to see Gemini Jets get the credit for JC's work, but that's how it goes. Glad to have interactive options on 1/400 scale. This never would have seemed possible at one point. Now it's common place.

I love these interactives, even more so than flaps down variants. I can’t wait for a few years down the road when we can get models with options for functional passenger doors too. It’s probably one of the next step here imo. That and more detail inside of the planes would also be welcome with a print for the rollers on the floors of cargo holds and passenger door openings could just be black for simplicity sake.
