Model Review - American Airlines MD-82 by NG Models

We've been seeing more MD-80s recently, which is great, but from a mould perspective other brands can't hold a candle to the NG Models versions. They already had the best mould by some distance, but have actively worked to make it even better with the latest releases.

NG Models can frustrate in terms of their release choices and mould usage, but its hard to deny the quality of the end product. They also have a tendency to produce multiple versions of quite a few of their releases, and so even though they have now made

That is beautiful. I'm hoping they make great use of this mould. I'd love to see these MD-80s in virtually every airline scheme possible, with and without the screwdriver tailcone.

That 90s era USAir scheme would look so gorgeous on that mould…

That little black nose does make the scheme even more retro on the Mad Dog!

Hoping to see that on a regular scheme - with both tail cone versions!

Fabulous mould - and hopefully - NG makes extensive extensive use of it!

Fitting more models into the American Airline shelf is getting harder and harder, but after some more rearrangement the latest NG Models MD-80 has a space. That makes 5 AA MD-80s now - 3 NG, 1 DW and 1 GJ.

The mould overall is excellent but I am not sure that I'm convinced that the screwdriver tail looks 100%. Is it just me?

Looks a bit too thin, in my opinion. But not a deal-breaker at all
