All that's been arriving at the hangar recently has been second-hand classics and new Chinese airliners so this week's review is another of the latter, but it is a rather nice special scheme and it does give me the chance to look at the NG A320 for the first time in a couple of years, including the windowline print issues:

Great review Richard! I started getting into Chinese airline releases over the past year, mainly because I really enjoy the special schemes, and also like you stated that they seem to be more prominent than western airlines.

The thing about the window height is that it is not on every release. On this one, it actually looks quite good. But the Spirit A320, A319 for example, it is glaringly obvious. And there are some where they are printed too low, i.e. China Southern A321, CUA A319s, etc. My issue with the windows is that it isn't consistent. Another example I can immediately think of is one side of the model (Alaska releases right side), they are too high, and perfect on the left side.

I really think it is mainly window size rather than position, but I haven't looked across all the models. Which Alaska release was it? I see they made some in late 2023 like this one. I don't see a difference between the sides? [Edit: Actually do you mean the rear line isn't level? It's pretty minimal to my eye]

I'd swap that for this beautiful Mexicana A319 :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :

So, if you look at where the left side windows meet the cockpit windows, they are more aligned to the top/center. On the left side, they align more with the bottom/center of the cockpit windows.

I completely agree though, that the cockpit windows are undersized. I feel the same way with the L-1011 cockpit windows.
