Looks absolutely apocalyptic. Thankfully, the airport suffered only minimal damage and was back up and running within a couple of hours. Still, seeing all the ground crew battening down the hatches makes your heart thump.
And among the planes caught in the storm was Southwest's Illinois One (N918WN). Other flights were diverted to LAS in the meantime, including a British Airways A350.
That said, perhaps a dust storm can serve as a cool (albeit unconventional) background for a model airport
