List of Reputable North American 1/400 Retailers

I know it’s already been mentioned but Squatchy’s diecast hangar was great. Got my SAS 737 from them and it came in great condition quite quickly. At least in the 1:200 sector they are a little short on European narrowbodies but otherwise wonderful.

Diecast Airplane Store works great for me, good prices usually cheaper than any competitor I see, and you can always find good discount codes.

I've had pretty awful experiences with DAS, from broken models to dishonest customer service. Absolutely terrible. The best retailers IMO are:

American retailers:
-Jet Collector: No free shipping, but they do offer a 10% discount code for members (free to sign-up) and the customer service is top notch.
-Texan Airplane Store: Have encountered some hiccups in the past, mainly due to shipment delays, but all issues were eventually resolved. The owner seems genuine, and prices were unbeatable (free shipping + 15% discount codes). Discount codes are gone now but shipping is still free. Communication has improved as well.
-Squatchy's Diecast Hanger and MTS Aviation Models: No discount codes or free shipping, but customer service is top notch, models are well-packaged, and inventory is extensive.
-PandaFox Toys: Free shipping with a 5% discount code. Customer service has declined considerably though. Sometimes they don't respond at all.

Canadian retailers:
-West Coast Diecast and Prairie Diecast: Haven't purchased from either since the de minimis exception was removed for Canada to US shipments, but both offer discount codes, shipping is free for purchases above a minimum, and customer service is generally helpful.

Hey, I know you-- I've heard they are, I plan on running down soon. I haven't ordered from them just because of my proximity. It's impractical to pay for shipping when you can spend 2 hours of your day driving to Dayton and back.

Huh. Funny thing is my experience seems to be the exact opposite of yours. When I ordered from DAS, I’ve never received a model with any sort of damage, and their employees were very good at communicating with me about my orders

Westcoastdiecast is super responsive on instagram and never had a problem with them. Just sucks I haven’t been able to use them with the tariff situation lately.

The main format should be the following, but it doesn't matter too much;
[Retailer], [Good Experience with Retailer], and optionally, [Notes]

- PandaFox Toys - Offers free shipping and tax within the US, I have received 5 models and counting from PandaFox. No notes.
- Squatchy's Diecast Hangar - "quick, reliable, have some great deals." - Starz10p Aviation
- Wildcat Diecast - "Wildcat is amazing, amazing communication, shipping usually occurs same day as purchase" - TinyAviation

Is Wildcat Diecast reliable? Their website seems legitimate and I've heard a few people say good things, but I want to be overly certain before I place an order with them. Thank you!

JHWings is amazing for collectors in the SE US. Good prices, quick shipping (I’m located in ATL), amazing customer service. Plus I’ve also met the entire gang and they’re amazing.

Midwest was one of my favorite online stores, although the merge was horrible. They lost most of their stock and prices are ridiculously high.

Yes, I just checked and it seems almost all of the models went up $8-10, I’m sure shipping wouldn’t be cheap either
