LegacyJets x FinalApproachCollectibles Future Release

AI by default tends to write a specific way. Some key features:
- List of threes: this, this, and that
- Dashes are used frequently
- Very positive wording and using complicated words

Now I should stress that if you see this in something, it doesn’t guarantee that it was written by AI, however the likelihood of it is higher with some of these characteristics.
Well said JJ. But maybe it isn't AI. I feel like people should give the new guys a chance. Have you read what legacy has on their about us section on their website? They seem like they have aviation backgrounds (airline pilots maybe?) If yes, than I can get behind such a company because they probably have OCD on what they release! There elal releases are pretty insane honestly

These may be 'all new' moulds but they are HX Models moulds aren't they? Ones HX will use too. The text is rather hyperbolic - 'next-level precision, unmatched innovation'. 'the moment the bar gets raised'

Are these really going to be better 737s than the NG, Panda or Aero Polaris moulds? Or better than the NG Models or Panda A320s?

Once again I welcome the endeavour but...

probably not better but as long as they’re on par with the ones you’ve mentioned I don’t mind a little more competition in the space. Hopefully it doesn’t drive anyone out too quick if they somehow are that good. If this is another avenue for a company to fill the US market with Gemini, as a biased individual (lol) i’m for it!

Let’s all remember to not get too excited until these things actually are announced and we have photos of the things🤣

This will be good for the collectorate regardless of the end result... More competition, more choices and HX/SQ seem to be making a lot of people happy right now. Criticisms will come in due time if warranted we all know that.

Not to mention they spell things wrong, no u in words like labour or neighbour.

So what we have in summary here is:

  • 4 to be announced retailer exclusive releases using the Legacy Jets brand to be sold by Final Approach Collectibles
  • 1 737, 1 A320 and 2 E-Jets
  • All use standard HX Models moulds that HX will also use themselves
It will be interesting to see what they're making. I look forward to the unveiling.

No doubt these are unlicensed so it'll also be interesting to see ADI's reaction, if they touch airlines like Delta or American, or Boeing's response (because there's no way HX has a Boeing license). The difference here between standard HX and these from a licensing perspective is of course Legacy Jets and Final Approach have US addresses.

As for the HX 737 we have already seen the 737-900 with the Korean release. I hope to get a closer look at it soon:

Yes and this model is lightyears from anything next-level precision, unmatched innovation or bar raising. In fact this looks pretty substandard with its "JC tail" and wonky cockpit.
So I'm highly curious whether they deliver a product that is at least half as big as their words.

You guys are discussing a simple marketing gimmick.
Reminds me of Hyundai cars here in Brazil. In their ads, they say their cars are the most advanced thing on Earth, the best thing one can drive, etc etc 😆 of course it's hyberbolic, it's just an advertising thing.

We'll only judge the models when pics come out. The rest is pure speculation at this point

I think its only 2 exclusive retailer releases per an earlier post by Legacy Jets on here. The 175 is a collab between LJ and Final Approach. Also according to legacy website, there are 6 releases coming but the last 2 are a mystery at this point

As much as I appreciate any new quality effort in this hobby, but all this self-congratulatory (or what is it called in English) marketing bla gives me a headache. Sorry.
I mean, with all this "meticulous research — archival photos, color references" going "through multiple prototype stages to ensure absolute accuracy" they still missed that the EL AL 744 has got the wrong color on its wings.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying these are bad. But what I see so far is a solid SQ/HX standard, but nothing that would raise the bar.

I will just say, as a few other retailers have conveyed, too many little niche brands for a very small hobby, and a fragile hobby right now. With costs rising, a fragile economy. More than a few opinions that it’s not sustainable. We passed months ago when approached by Legacy. Cool passionate guys, but could be brand suicide in my opinion, and others.

Agreed.

Since the 1:200 El Al's were pushing $200 at retailers, I wouldn't be surprised for this E170 being $60 after tariffs and all that' stuff. I'm exited to see how these turn out since I've been waiting for a release of an E170 for years. But with high prices at Final Approach Collectables, I won't be exited to pay $60 for a 1:400 E170.

Yeah, when we were approached and heard the wholesale cost, we were out quickly and voiced my concern for just that, wholesale price and price to market. We are already stretching at the current prices, so an exclusive is just a little much in this current environment.

With all due respect, look at the pricing of the GJ 737

, $66 for….just look at the quality… that’s why I buy from Legacy Jets, because their quality is unmatchable and you pay for what you get. Other companies you get ripped off and you also get a very low quality model. Just saying.
