Kylin Model New Releases

I'm surprised at the cost of Kylin models - they're at par or in many cases even more than NG's - looking at MHH.
Most of the Kylin models I’ve seen were more expensive than JC but cheaper than NG. Since I don't live in China, I’m not entirely familiar with the local market conditions, but based on my searches on sites like Taobao, the A330 was around 300 CNY, and the A320 was between 260 and 280 CNY. Considering that NG's narrow-body aircraft are priced at approximately 330 CNY, I think Kylin is quite affordable

I've read complaints on Rednote also about Phoenix being very expensive in China
I’ll answer this for you, hahaha. After all, I bought it with RMB. I paid 278 RMB for the Qilin Model China Airlines A330. If NG isn’t offering a discount (I’ll use the recent Cathay Pacific A330 as an example here, since I have a membership on WINGSWORLD and usually get a 20% discount on NG and PH products), the price is 400 RMB, but I bought it for 320 RMB with the discount. That’s the comparison between NG and Qilin Models,

But I always feel like Qilin Model's A330 has a bit of an AC style to it, hahahaView attachment 73911
Got me thinking about anti-glare paint under the cockpit on the A330, the only other airline I can think of that used it is the launch customer Air Inter and the TAP retro livery. China Eastern removed it after changing their livery but for some reason their skyteam specials including A320 and 340 kept them.

I’m hoping to see a Finnair without any advertising! Just a standard one! These Finnair’s tend to always come with some artwork. Just a plain one will do please guys!
I've seen quite a few of the old standard Finnair A330s that Phoenix did still floating around online for cheap, but not their the specials which are even older

I’m not entirely sure, but Air China’s 737 series aircraft still have that anti-glare coating. The SkyTeam livery is indeed somewhat reflective, so I think that might be the reason. It’s also possible that they simply modified the old logo and have been using it ever since.

Translated from Kylin official Wechat account: "In China mainland, customers who place pre-orders through retailers can enjoy a 10 RMB subsidy from Kylin Model. The subsidy will be settled between our company and the retailers." That means the pre-order price for this MU330 is only 278 RMB.

In addition if you get extra platform discounts from Taobao, cost of Kylin models can be around 270 RMB or even cheaper(under 40 USD).

This mainly depends on whether the seller has joined or is currently participating in Taobao’s subsidy program. Most sellers do not participate because profit margins are already very slim under this model. After deducting the 14–18 RMB express shipping fee borne by the seller, how much is left? The profit generated by a single unit is minimal.Plus, since smaller brands use a pre-order model, haha, production ends up taking way too long, and the sellers risk having their funds withheld by Taobao. As a result, many models produced by small manufacturers end up being sold at a loss. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I've been looking at the Aeroclassics, Kylin, Panda and NG A330s next to each other and frankly the differences between them are all very minor. I would expect 99% of collectors wouldn't be able to tell the difference. All 4 brands have had some prior dealings with each other for sure, however mainly they look similar because they all look like an A330 (at least more so than some of the competition).

Having said that I know Kylin are modifying their A330, including the nose profile

@planes_on_a_shelf your comment about the AC A330 is interesting because it basically matches the NG in most respects (aside from aerials and print quality).

I’m really curious which A330 mould is the best. Aviation400’s sometimes looks weird at the nose, but other times it’s not too bad. I hope you can do a comparison of A330 CEO moulds.

The Aviation400 certainly is inferior, however they are also upgrading their mould. I might take a look at A330 CEOs but I have a content backlog and Yesterday's Airlines doesn't pay the bills.
