JC Wings November 2024 releases 1:400

Swissair 743 in the choco livery. That's cool! I don't think I've ever seen JC's 747 slots in wings without winglets. The wing-to-fuselage leading edge joint is the same as the -400, but the wing still needs to be shorter, right?

Actually the B747LCF JC made was the non-winglet slot-in wings they created. Judging from the artwork, the SR 743 should be made on the cradle BB mould like the previous month’s Dragonair Cargo B743. I am 99% sure JC chose the Non-Combi made, which Apollo made years ago also using BB mould (albeit without antenna). And the Apollo version got the “swissair” title font wrong actually. If the SR showed out to be a non-Combi and good I might want to get one to pair with my AV400 at home.

The engine size on these always gets me. Was just seeing pictures of that Dragonair 743

Agreed with you on this point. IIRC the 743 used a larger nacelle variant of the JT9D - and I think all manufacturers in 1:400 used the smaller counterpart from the 742. I also have that weird feeling when seeing my Swiss 743 too.

Been waiting for the Swissair 743 since I started collecting. My all time favorite airline, livery and model. I hope its with polished belly.
Has anyone any idea of the JC mould when it comes to the 743?
