Is this the norm from waffle-collectibles?

I bought a model off waffle-collectibles on ebay recently. I love it and it arrived not only on time but undamaged and it was an amazing deal cost wise, including the shipping. I left that great feedback but also mentioned better packaging might be the way to go, as it was only wrapped with one (yes ONE!) sheet of newspaper in a tight box that I had to break in order to get my model box out of it. I then received this message a few minutes ago….dude? It was feedback not a threat?? lol

Yeah that's the usual with him don't worry😭. Not too fond of criticism at all, even if it's valid.

I figured it was but geez, I couldn’t have been more pleasant towards him other than my very short statement of “feedback”💀 For some of the prices he’s charging I probably won’t stop buying from him occasionally unless I start getting broken models or he bans me in some way. Idk…people are strange man….

Yes, it's the norm 😂😂😂 Waffle can have some great deals sometimes but it's surreal to see this kind of treatment. I really don't understand how a seller can be so rude with his customers! Oh, and things get even worse when the model arrives damaged 🫣

With Waffle customer service it's either Waffle himself (Michael) or Masha whom you'll deal with.

Michael is rude, condescending. Luckily you'll mostly only deal with him through Ebay, which you've just experienced. And yes, he's ALWAYS like that to any sort of constructive criticism or negative feedback.

Masha is friendlier. If you buy from the website, have issues, and email customer support, 9/10 times you'll be communicating with her (unless it escalates).

Don't feel bad...the one who needs mental help is not you. It's him. As long as you get the model you want in good condition at a reasonable price, I'd say all is well.

Agreed. I’ve had a couple models come damaged and they have been more than willing to replace it. Just like any other retailer.

I second this. YMMV, but when I received the wrong model for my order, Waffle was extremely courteous in sending me the right one and even guided me step by step on how to send the wrong model back. This was over eBay too! Maybe I got lucky and had Masha on the other end, but I believe that if there's an actual mixup/issue on the part of the retailer, most of em will be happy to help you out, including Waffle.

The newspaper packaging is Waffle's signature. Sometimes the model is so tightly packaged I don't even know why he bothers with the newspaper. I haven't had any issues with Waffle, but that screenshot is what many describe as his textbook behavior. Probably he was just in a bad mood.

Just count yourself lucky your model was in good condition still.

One good thing about these new taxes and price increases from the US to Aust, is that I won't ever have to deal with him and that store again.
