Gemini Jets September 2025 Releases

Hasn’t been a single United Express 175 in a long time. Great set for US collectors

Since 2020 and these are the only two releases of this plane! The only other third one is in the Globe scheme from 2018 if that counts too.

If we’re nitpicky, this is the first Skywest 175 in the Evo scheme too. The Globe scheme was also skywest though with the odd Evo out from 2020 being ExpressJet.

These releases were a great batch. I’m gonna sell some 1:500’s and maybe some 1:400s to get set for maybe a release of another American E170 in the standard livery. I’m looking at that Delta Saab as it would be interesting for ironwood. Hopefully that American CRJ-200 carries over into 1:200 next month, and I already have the continental globe United E175. Might look into that 550 in 200 scale but I’m gonna take a look at next months releases. I have all the time in the world to get the delta Saab, I’m sure those won’t sell too quickly.

You completely missed my point on the two models I mentioned. I get the Etihad 777X is a ways away from actually flying as mentioned by @pommy80, but GJ/JC are the only ones who have the type in this scale, just like the B-52 (though JC hasn’t used it yet to my knowledge). As for the models previously done, the United E175 is a welcomed rerelease, considering it’s been over five years since the first one; the 777 and American CRJ-200 are of a similar deal too, along with the Delta 753 (around three years since the last one).

No I got the points, one's a fantasy model and I'll give you the B-52 but it is still uninspiring. 7 out of 10 models are re-releases and/or done by competitors on better moulds, ergo, uninspiring.

Great for you US Collectors I agree especially if you missed out the first time. That's what makes this a great hobby though, there will always be someone that is stoked with the releases and some that aren't.

In doing more research, the UA E175 reg only flies on the west coast generally. It rarely does a few trips as far east as Chicago/Houston but that’s all i’ve seen. Less interesting to me unfortunately but i’ll still be grabbing it regardless for how rare getting one of these is.

I have been out of the regional game for a few years. But based on the reg. I can tell it is one of the few E-175s ExpressJet operated before United shut them down in 2020 (right after having reacquired them since the time Continental cut them loose in the 2000s). I want to say that airframe spent it’s early days flying the IAH system. Too bad the model has SkyWest titles.

Edit: I just realized that GJ previously released sistership N605UX with ExpressJet titles, as pointed by @bakejobb_23 above. Then, I think this release should've had a regular SkyWest reg. or a never-released UAX regional, such as Mesa.

I'm interested in the Etihad 777-9 and potentially the United 777-200ER of which I already have the Phoenix version. The rest is of no interest to me. I have some concerns regarding the Etihad, firstly I can't find anything about A6-FAA being an actual registration (at least for now) and some potential changes in the livery between the release of the model and the delivery of the real aircraft which would not be the first time. I can think of three examples with Gemini Jets models: Emirates 777-9 (models made before the introduction of the new livery), Hawaiian 787-9 N780HA (wrong name) and Air France A350-900 (name added after the model was released).

GJ does that a lot.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Etihad is a release made for the airline.

The China Northern is an odd choice given the airline disappeared 24 years ago. More like a JC release and it has been made before not that long ago - I own it. Wouldn't surprise me if Gemini skimp on the number of aerials so it could well be inferior to the original!

I didn't realize there were that many. Now I'll wait for the real aircraft to be delivered to buy an Etihad 777-9, leaving only the United 777 of interest to me this month.

Those prices… I’ve ordered the United 777-200 from Phoenix and paid 52,95 euro. The Gemini is now listed at 64,95 euro. That a difference of 12 euro. That not normal!

US regionals get so messy after bouncing around various carriers for a while lol. Whether contracts get cut (Air Wisconsin and the AA CRJ200) or mergers to get dropped or just moving onto the next guy after a contract expires. Some of these regional frames have flown for all 3 major carriers at various points plus some that don’t exist anymore! Kinda cool but also very confusing if you aren’t from the US or constantly aware of them all.

So basically even the most exotic release of this batch isn't something new/groundbreaking?
Gemini surely knows how to bore us to death 😆

Btw, the 2 PHX CJ MD-80s are out in the wild and they're lovely and very, very tempting
