Gemini Jets: It's worth waiting for the best

This chat peaked my interest so I took a closer look at the stats. NG makes more US models than GJ, but does make a lot of near duplicates. Then again GJ does make some too. When you remove the duplicates GJ and NG are basically making the same number of US models (GJ slightly edges it), but of course NG is also making 80% non US material as well and GJ is making only 47% non-US.

The argument that GJ makes more, and more diverse US releases really doesn't hold any water. You may prefer GJ's US releases, and that is a very valid opinion to hold, but presumably there are plenty of US collectors who prefer the NG US releases??

On the contrary, JC makes so few US releases. Since the majority of today's GJs are made by JC (or its factory), did they have an agreement that JC should make less or no US releases while GJ should make the majority of them?

JC Wings has had a long term agreement to not compete with Gemini, to the extent they have needed to ask for permission to make models (which is why the US models they've made in the past are ones that have needed licenses GJ hasn't been willing or able to get - like the Breast Cancer Research models). This has been modified recently so that they can make older US material.

I guess you could argue that JC's and GJ's releases could be combined together in comparisons with NG, but that would make GJ just a JC sub-brand :)

GJ has also influenced Phoenix's US output (which has traditionally been small) too since their parent ADI is the distributor for JC and PHX in the US
 
As expected, laughable GJ propaganda.
They are literally grasping to keep their brand relevant among most collectors. If they would just leave others alone (none of the Chinese based ones care anyways, Todd’s become a laughing stock to them) maybe they would gain a little more respect. All they really have left is their loyal supporters who will defend them at all costs and younger audience which unfortunately are going to fall over this joke of a reason to buy their models. Saying some BS like “oh it’s a federal crime!1!11” is such a trashy move by GJ.

I would take it a step further than interactive and variations with say a logo. So many of those GJ releases are re-release of something they previously made with a different reg. A brief look at MADb, the following since Jan 2024:

The Chinese market is very different and the whole community is very different as well
I have many people in china who feed me information and there's a lot of things people in the western world do not know how they operate and how things work. There has been so many times I have corrected information since its just wrong information being shared.

As a retailer, I go out of my way to learn, meet and chat with different factory managers or owners of model companies.


For the JC wings part. They were not allowed to make North American models until recently and now they can do older ones. (all of north america and not just united states). lots of players have some sort of agreement with Gemini Jets (JC PH) that have they have to comply with.

Opinions are formulated based on personal experiences or existing knowledge, whether factual or not. By nature, an opinion cannot be false. One can attempt to change the opinion by disproving whatever knowledge formulated it. You can't say that someone is a liar for preferring one brand over another. To your second point, you can't say that Republicans are liars for disliking Biden, or vice versa, that Democrats are liars for disliking Trump. You can, however, disprove certain notions that formulated the opinion. A liar is someone who consciously knows the truth but spins it otherwise. A liar consciously makes false statements, not disagreeable opinions. When I stated that NG has been producing models with more defects, that is an observation. Who here remembers the Lufthansa 748 releases where most came with broken and missing antennas? Or the Spirit Airbuses that came with broken stabilizers? On YT there are many unboxing videos featuring broken models being unboxed. NG is still the superior brand by far, but it's hard to deny that their QC took a dip in lieu of producing larger release sets.
