The 727s are definitely a response to V1:400 - I don't have an issue with it, just the competitive aspect of the hobby is all. Definitely buying those, and then the JetBlue and maybe the WestJet.

Welp, all my predictions were wrong! Gemini once again surprises me. Quite a few of these interest me, especially the Delta and Jetblue. But I do wish that they released a little United this month.

It may seem like these releases are boring (as an American it is getting more and more stale), but you can't fault a company for producing what works. GJ is an American company and caters to Americans just as NG makes just as many (if not more) Chinese examples. Plus not too many people care about molds like some of us, so when they see their favorite airline, they buy it. All manufacturers have a bottom line, yes it gets tiring as someone looking in, but can you really blame them?

Another thing to note is the drop in MSRP this month. Last month the United 727-100 was $67.95 — this month the TWA and Delta are $64.95 each. The actual retail price has also gone from $54.36 to $51.96. Good to see the prices actually dropping for once.

I think my doubts have been repeatedly proven correct… Nostalgia sells, also older collectors tend to have the disposable income required for the hobby.
