Gemini Jets August 2025 Releases

Yeah, I’m pretty happy with it. Really eager to see what they’ll do next since there aren’t a whole lot of options for the 90.
Well a Delta re-release would be fitting for sure. Not sure if they have done a China Southern MD-90 yet but Delta acquired a bunch from them.

I could see them doing another Delta current livery in a few years time.
Who knows… based off what I have experienced with my collection criteria once an aircraft is out of service, they rarely revisit that subject matter. I have been wanting a Delta 747-400 on the newer JC mold but my hopes are low since the aircraft no longer flys.

Nice to see the Binter and Cubana, but this set contains 5 models from the USA and 2 from Asia with just 1 Caribbean and 1 from Europe. Exactly the sort of 'diversity' NG is pilloried for and here with a much smaller number of releases, plus the airlines here are mostly the same old airlines United, American, Emirates, USAF, Hawaiian.

NG barely releases 1 European model, 2-3 American models, and then a dozen + Asian models. Gemini meanwhile releases a 1:400 commercial set containing 50% non-American models. Simple math shows that Gemini’s release is far more diverse. You yourself even commented that it was nice to see the Binter and Cuban models, a complement that falls short because of the subsequent comparison to NG insinuating release inferiority.

Gemini is an American brand, so if NG can release as many Asian models as they want because they’re an Asian brand, the same holds true for Gemini does it not? You claim that NG is catering to the Asian market and are thus justified in releasing handful after handful of Asian models, yet when GJ releases more than 3 American models as an American brand, that’s absurd? GJ at least attempts to be more inclusive yet still manages to draw your ire.

I also spotted a user named LatchieHare using the derogatory term “yanks” to describe American collectors. Instead of enforcing the rules, you like his comment instead.

I’m sorry but your claims of not being biased are laughable.

That is only a recent event due to tariffs. How many times does this need to be said? Until recently NG made a lot more diverse sets and then the Trump administration decided to impose massive levies on China, which have had the knock on effect of not only seriously damaging production of US models but also damaging the economies of the rest of the world too! GJ has to make US models because if it doesn't it is curtains for them.

5 of this set of 9 models is American and frankly the Cubana is basically an American release too. It is clearly aimed at the US market and not global collectors - certainly not Cuban ones.

So do your maths properly. There is about 30% of this set that isn't for the home US market and one of those is a corporate Emirates release.

They can do what they like but for Americans to say that it is fine for GJ to make mainly American models but complain constantly that NG make mainly Asian ones is a serious double-standard.

It draws my ire because this isn't a diverse set by airline or region and the suggestion it is is untrue. One Binter EJet and one JAL MD-90 = diversity. Do me a favour.

Yanks isn't derogatory anymore than calling English people Limeys is. You are incredibly thin-skinned to be offended by that term.

Also this isn't my forum and I'm not the only admin on here. I didn't see @LeoMuse747 or even @CM Aviation being bothered by it.

True but… it’s been YEARS since we have had a United Express release in 400 scale. This was well needed from Gemini.

Yeah agreed. I'm not saying this is a bad release set by any means - there are several really good looking models here. It just isn't particularly diverse either and this thread has been angled somewhat towards saying that it is. There's nothing wrong with the set - aside from the EK A380 and UA A321neo being weak models

Yeah I agree. JAL MD90 helps my Japanese collection and the UA CRJ559 helps my US collection. Overall I think it’s a decent release set and certainly one that has answered my prayers.

That C-5 is the real gem of this set in my opinion. Nice to get something other than the standard low-viz grey so I’ll definitely be picking this one up.

Indeed a great release! How does the GJ C-5 compare to the old Dragon Wings C-5?
The DW might be old but seems to be a fine mould. I hope to pick up a C-5 someday and I wonder which one looks best.
