Because it's meant as marketing for the convention, not for the exclusive models. The models are merely an additional reason for people to get hyped for the largest Aviation Collectors Fair in the world!

As someone from America, why would I travel all the way to Amsterdam for a pair of “exclusive models” when it is now only a month away. Yes… let me forget my rent and other bills so I can purchase a now overpriced $1500 plane ticket across the pond for a model I’d know nothing about till I see it. Especially when there are seemingly 10-15 other Airliners International events across the US. I hope it will be a worthwhile model for those that go out of their way for basically that alone!

They have to borderline be a European themed Airline right? I mean if it was two exclusive Southwest 737s or Continental DC9s or whatever only being given out in Amsterdam that would be a bit insane no? Maybe a KLM or British Airways special scheme not done before or similar.

If I had to guess it is likely to be Aeroclassics, given the numbers being talked about, and it is unlikely to be a big airline like BA or KLM for licensing reasons. So I'd guess something Dutch like Martinair, Transavia or such - possibly a hybrid of an upcoming AC standard release.

Fair point on the KLM/BA guess @YesterAirlines . Any smaller airline would just make that even more niche and less desirable (at least for me as a mostly American themed collector). God forbid it’s an Aeroclassics mould too…
