Does Panda sell their moulds to other brands?

Week ago I got A330 by Panda and immidiatelly noticed that it is almost identical to A330 by NG. For me they looks like like the same mould. Actually the fact that Panda released no A330 since yearly 2020 and NG stated releasing their A330 in late 2019 support this. I heard that people tell that MD-11 by HX are almost identical to MD-11 by Panda. Again Panda stopped releasing MD-11 exactly at the moment when HX started releasing MD-11.

Do you think my theory is real and Panda really sells their moulds?

Here is comparison between both A330. Avianca by Panda and Garuda by NG

No your theory is not real or true but is based on several misunderstandings.

A. The HX MD-11 and the Panda MD-11 are not that similar and Panda still has its own MD-11s and will be making more
B. If a mould is accurate it should look like the real thing and therefore multiple moulds should look very similar - this is increasingly the truth with a range of types.
C. A bit of knowledge about the brands and events would help here. For starters the setup isn't 1:1 i.e. Brand A doesn't just work from Factory A. Brands like JC use multiple factories. Kang Kai, the figure behind Panda, has had relationships with lots of factories and brands. Panda never owned the A330 moulds in the first place. The actual events are unclear but in 2019 or so there were major falling outs between Kang Kai and others including the owners of several of its moulds. Panda lost access to the A330s plus several other moulds Y-20, ARJ-21 and A330F.

NG definitely gained access to the Panda Y-20 (even old stock which was rebadged), the ARJ-21 and later also the A330F.

The NG A330-200/300 is a different story. It is possibly based on the Panda A330 but the fact that NG created samples while Panda was releasing A330s still and sent them to me for review shows they are not the same and NG started from scratch. Also the undercarriage of the two moulds is not the same as your photos show.

So to conclude:

  • Panda don't sell their moulds, but have lost access to several moulds it was using but never actually owned in the first place.
  • There may be a shared ancestry between the Panda and NG A330s but they are not the same mould

They haven't even made half the Aeroflot schemes so far!
This 💯💯💯💯💯
CSA o/c (OK Jet tail) is conspicuous by its absence
They curiously made the later less striking scheme. Why didn't they release both, beats me.
Another is Malev later colours, and LOT o/c
These with the Aeroflot will kinda complete the key 'Eastern Bloc' carriers along with those made thus far
