Commonest Aircraft in Your Collection That's Not an A320 or 737?

There are nearly 20,000 400 scale model releases and of those about 2,360 are 737s and 4,150 A32xs - so that's around 32% of all releases being one of the two main narrowbody families. It's hard for them not to be the top types in any collection and in my collection I have 512 737s (15%) and 267 A32x (8%). Number 3 type for me is the Boeing 727 of which I have 246 (7%). I've picked up quite a few more 727s recently and some haven't come particularly cheap, however the latest was super cheap, just £12. It's this Dragon Wings Continental Micronesia release of N622DH.

I get the feeling I'm perhaps more narrowbody focused than many so what's the commonest aircraft family in your collection, other than A32x and 737s?

Here's the breakdown by family of my collection:

This is mine from MADb. It doesn’t group A32x families together so I did a little extra math to compare properly:

A32x: 38
737 family: 20
757: 14
A330: 10
EJets: 10
CRJ family: 9
The rest are all about 1-3 total per type

I'm the usual exception to the rule😅
While I've lost track of what I have, I know that the collection has been shrinking in the past 15 or so years. I count only 6 Babybusses but the 707 is still clearly in the lead followed by the 737 or probably even the Connie.🤷‍♂️

My most common are 737s of all variants (134), followed by the 727 (65), then the A320 family close behind (59), and then a tie between the DC-9-30/40/50 and 757 all variants (48).

As far as the rest of the collection it breaks down as 767 all variants (21), MD-80 (14), L1011 all variants (11), DC-10 all variants (10), MD-11 (9), 747 all variants (8), 717 and 707 tied with 6, DC-8 all variants, 777-200F, and BAC 1-11 tied with 3, A300, A310 and Fokker F-100 tied with 2, and the A330, F-28, and Lockheed L-100 Hercules tied with 1 each.

For me, its 3x DC-10, 3x 757-200, and 1 fokker 50 + 2 fokker 27 but those 2 are quite similar so I tend to just count them as the same thing sometimes.

Ah this is fun. My minuscule collection fits on my desk…
2 B787s, then 1 each of: E175, DHC-8-400, B737, A321, A380. But I’m hoping to add the Qantas panda 737-400 from my hobby house soon,

Besides the 737 and A320? Probably the 747, but that’s because I often go out of my way for those. I miss my childhood, when we’d fly out of SFO and they’d be all over the place.

For me, the largest collection is the 747 series totaling 41.
This is followed by the 777 series and the A320 series, with 14 and 8 respectively
