Charter's airports from the world.

This is Skiathos (Greece) old apron: just two parking stands with a huge charter traffic, a small jewel in my handmade airports collection.
Now Skiathos, known as "European Sint Marteen" for the very low short finals and the many people "making themselves injuries" during jets takeoffs, has a new apron with up to seven remote stands, but the exotic fashion of this holiday airport still is immense.

In early 2025 the MAD Winds System has been implemented and new short final and landing procedures have been updated in the years before. If until about 10 years ago landing at Madeira was matter for few Airlines, even because of the relatively few tourists, the improved procedures, the better engines of the modern MAX and Neo airplanes and the explosion of the tourism made Funchal one of the more important holiday airports for charter, leisure and low cost airlines, but even for major airlines performing charter and leisure routes.
So, if in the past the icons of Funchal were TAP A319 and SBA - Santa Barbara Airlines B767-300 (based at Caracas but in its Lisbona - Caracas flight SBA performed a stopover at Madeira) today almost all European scheduled, leisure, charter, ACMI and low cost airlines flies to/from Funchal.
Herpa of course did not produce SBA B767-300 and TAP A319 (this model still is a dream for me!) so i used the TAP A320 for the last pics: taxi, back track runway 23 and takeoff.
My hope is to visit Madeira one day (and to have TAP A319 1:500 scale in my hands).

Amazing! Did you build the whole airport to scale?
