Calibre Wings 1/72 F-14 Tomcat (VF-211 Fighting Checkmates)

Calibre Wings' F-14s have somewhat of a legendary reputation among military collectors, so as a Tomcat fan myself, I had to find out what the hype was all about. And sweet sonny Jesus did it deliver.

The level of detail is astounding, down to the cockpit displays and each individual rivet. Paint and panel lining are top notch, with a nice matte texture throughout. The whole thing's built like a tank as well. Interactive features are well-executed, including the swing wings, horizontal stabs, opening canopy, spinning wheels and arrestor hook. There's a boatload of accessories to boot. I'm rambling a little, so I'll just let the pictures do the talking...

Even as a pax aircraft collector, this is one of the highlights of my collection. Bravo Calibre!

I know I'm kinda late to this post, but did you have troubles closing the canopy all the way? It seems like this is a common issue with this model. Regardless, it's a beautiful model for sure! Surprisingly, Calibre Wing's stated that this is their "worst release yet". I have no idea why, but to me this looks to be their best looking model to date.
