Building a model airport

Thanks for the appreciation.
And look at how and anonymous apron can become "lived and used" adding some tarmac patches and some dirty. You could also add some cracks on the tarmac but you must be careful and add them just for old aprons, not yet resurfaced (i am referring to the real airport if you want to reproduce and existing layout).

This is impressive on an insane level! The accuracy too is phenomenal! Seriously! Well done!!

I was also considering a different layout, with the runway. According to the fact that a 1:400 A380 (the largest model you can use) is 20 cm long, that the most important things in an airport are the spaces among parking stands and taxiway and among taxiway and runways, you could develop the layout in this way obtaining also a runway:
- 4 cm wide terminal building
- 4 cm for service road
- 20 cm of parking stands
- 26 cm of taxiway space (an A380 Is 20 cm wide so you have 3 cm tolerance in both sides)
- 8 cm grass
- 18 cm runway (about the runway there Is something to say. London LHR runway Is about 52 meters wide that in 1:400 are 13 cm. The other 7 cm are the space out of the runway).
With this layout you have space for parking stands, taxiway and runway.
The runway is than smaller than the taxiway wouldn't it be better to turn it around then? And are the terminal not to small?

London LHR airport taxiways are 23 meters wide (6 cm in 1:400) and the runways are 50 meters wide (13 cm in 1:400): then you have to consider the space, out of taxiway and runway width, necessary for the airplane wingspan.
Terminal building: if you want to realize apron, service road, taxiway and runway in my opinion you don't need to realize a large terminal building. 4 cm are enough.

Are there taxi the a350s en a380s?

Hi to all

The runway has been cleared. Now im going to make some parking stands and terminals. Did you like it?

I like the color of the runway surface, the centerline and the taxiway details. I dislike the piano keys, runway number and the touchdown mark for the following reasons:

Piano keys: need to be thinner and longer. For example: If your runway is 45 meters wide, there should be 12 piano keys, 6 on each side.
Runway number: the font doesn't look similar to real ones
Touchdown mark: actually looks good but I think it should be placed further down the runway, rather than close to the threshold

This article might help with some details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runway
