Tupolev unveiled the Tu-454

View attachment 76830

I imagine that we will return on this news to understand, first of all, if this ambitious Russian project will be realized and when.
Don't forget that the Yakovlev MS-21 performed the first flight in 2017 and still did not enter in service!

In the meanwhile something more concrete and of the planet Earth: K5 Aviation A350-900.
Not a livery but elegant.
K5 Aviation Is a German charter airline offering ACMI and charter high-level short ABC long haul flights with a fleet of A319WL (ACJ), A330-200 and a single A350-900.

Some news regarding Qantas's Airbus A350-1000ULRs:

MSN 707 (350 no.1 for QF) has had its engines fitted and is assumed to be the testbed for the A350-1000ULR, MSN 814 (no.2 for QF) has a painted vertical stabiliser and is assumed to be the first to be delivered to Qantas towards the end of the year.

It is looking very likely that they will carry the VH-OJx rego series, the same series that was worn by Qantas's 747-438s.

And finally from the Australian Financial Review:

Qantas's A350s will be named after celestial bodies, i.e. stars, constellations, planets etc. as an homage to the names worn by Qantas Empire Airways' Catalina flying boats in the 1940s that operated the Double Sunrise route (hence Project Sunrise).

Delta officially announced new D1 suites that will be featured on the A350-1000 coming early next year:

Are the engines still the XWB-97 or did they make a new variant for the A350-1000ULR?

Lufthansa also said that the Lufthansa Cityline to cease operations immediately (4/18)
(The decision comes after evaluating the current geopolitical situation and the costs associated with the recent strikes, which apparently was the icing on the cake.)

Will the A319’s go to the Lufthansa fleet?

Didn't the staff call for strike action to protest the layoffs? Couple of months ago?
Hopefully they get absorbed into other LH group carriers. Planes are fine, people suffer.

The largest European regional airline, hard to believe Lufthansa is closing it! Very sad.
About the A319s in fleet they remember me the short life of Lufthansa Italia and its A319s, from 2008 to 2011, one of the few Lufthansa Group mistakes and just a single dogma: impossible to compete with Ryanair, easyJet and Wizzair on the low cost sector.
