Airline News

Yesterday, January 21st, was an important data for civil aviation. In fact on 21st January 1976 the Concorde performed the first commercial flight with Air France, from Paris-Orly to Dakar and Rio de Janeiro.

😂😉

no real competition to the LH100 - no airline has so brilliantly captured their well regarded identity/iconography in their centennial schemes yet.
DL's - while visually interesting, is just an abstract pattern with no real meaning - AA's - well what can one say

About Finnair and Swiss i have a different opinion.
The "snow white" of Swissair first and then Swiss, and Finnair, have always been iconic in my opinion, a bit like the famous "Valentino red" (R.I.P.). Maybe it's also because I fell in love with these two airlines while flying with them and, as a spotter, ever since I saw the MD-11s in their latest liveries.

So i continue to appreciate both airlines "snow White" non-livery...

I was more referencing Finnairs lousy livery/sticker they have celebrating their 100th year. It’s quite similar to UA with the sticker in the aft part of the fuselage.

Yes yes, i know, but your statement made me reflect about differences among white non-liveries and especially why for me China Eastern is something of nonsense while Swiss and Finnair are something more than white liveries.

You’re not wrong, both Switzerland and Finland are very intertwined with snow (especially Finland) and hence white is reflected in the liveries. MU on the other hand really killed their great original scheme for bland white/grey. What kills me is that they have some very attractive schemes specials along with many other Chinese airlines using good standard schemes.
