Terrible. Already the economy is tanking

The Govt should have stepped in to at least ensure jobs are protected.
Oh I forgot - they can't do Healthcare, social security, liberal arts, meal programs either, because only 'war' is good for this Govt-as-bigbusiness

Well, it also important to note that Spirit could've merged with JetBlue but the Biden administration shot it down on grounds of antitrust… and now we're down one airline and have to deal with higher fares anyway…

The merger wouldn't have cured all of Spirit's ills, but it's still ironic nonetheless

I honestly think that just would've sent a bigger airline under. MAYBE it woukd have bought them some time. But imagine the money B6 would have had to spend converting NK's 100+ plane's into B6 specs, plus IT and staff mergers...
