The landing gear are great, they only wobble if you intentionally try to. There was some excess paint residue on the nose gear that made it a little harder to put in, but a little scraping of the residue did the trick. How's the removable landing gear? Any wobbling or ill-fitting parts?
A very nice and positive review indeed. I honestly cannot remember the last time RS gave a 30/30 score on a model, and I think it is the first that is not an NG. I know for sure that once 9V-SKA arrives at my door it will get it's own review too.Great review by Yesterday's Airlines.
Can't wait for the three I ordered as well, particularly SKA. I was skeptical of the removable gears since they're wobbly and ill-fitting on most 1:200s, so it's nice to hear they're rock solid.A very nice and positive review indeed. That was a relief to me as well... I did not pre-order any, I have a dislike of pre-orders in general and particularly those without a set release date. I am hoping to pick up the Qatar, China Southern and SQ examples when they arrive at CAMAUST.Can't wait for the three I order as well, particularly SKA. Totally understand regarding pre-orders, they rarely arrive on-time. It's sometimes a necessity if you collect CX and SQ, since those airlines sell out fast. That was a relief to me as well... Tell me about it... The JC CX 773s and 77Ws come to mind in particular for me. Completely gone in a matter of days, forcing me to settle for a flaps-down version.Totally understand regarding pre-orders, they rarely arrive on-time. We'll have to monitor retailer sites like hawks once NG announces the CX Tristar, better snatch one (or two) up fast before they're gone .Tell me about it... Indeed... I have been talking to the folks at CAMAUST about putting one or two away for myself and a friend, hopefully that will secure a model for myself. We'll have to monitor retailer sites like hawks once NG announces the CX Tristar, better snatch one (or two) up fast before they're gone .
It's on My Hobby House - a third pricier than the othersCame across some photos of the ARD BA A380 from Hong Kong. I also emailed ARD and Airspotters and asked when they’ll be getting them in, and it seems like they’ll be in the shops around March. Apparently ARD likes to ship their models by sea sometimes rather than air, so that explains the delay.

Very annoying that they did that… Oh well, hopefully more retailers will eventually list it cheaper. It's on My Hobby House - a third pricier than the others

Wow… I have no words… I am beyond excited for mine to arrive, probably some of my most anticipated models ever.9V-SKA, 9V-SKI and HL7612 all came today. Just gotta say, this is the smartest set of purchases I've made so far .

AV400 clearly put a lot of thought into the packaging - note the foam protecting the wingtip fences from breaking off.

The moulded and printed details are truly astounding, indistinguishable from a 1:200. I'll let the pics do the speaking.

Colors are super vibrant, with a lovely sheen.

Landing gear fits like a glove, and are rock solid. The struts are crisply detailed and come with a nice metallic finish.

Here's a group shot of all three. For those still waiting, you won't regret getting these. They're best described as 1:200s shrunken down to 1:400 size, with none of the awkward proportions and lacking details that characterized older 1:400s. All this shows just how much the scale has evolved thanks to AV400 and NG.

So the BA A350’s, 777‘s, and A380’s are actually made for ARD under the ARD model brand, and they’re licensed by BA as well. They pump out a lot of BA models every now and then, and by the looks of the moulds, they look to be Inflight200, Panda Models, and AV400 moulds. Shipping from the UK to the West Coast isn’t too bad, but it’s still a shame retailers elsewhere charge a lot for there ARD models. It's actually listed at a higher price at all retailers I notice? - and branded differently too as ARD. Recently Av400 released BA A35K and B77W as ARD too and was considerably higher priced. Not sure what's going on. It'll be weird if thats because of licensing like c'mon how much money is BA actually gonna make
