How's this for a blast from the past? This is NG Model's very first official 787 release back in October 2018 (they did make Nalanji Dreaming but never officially). At the time NG was nowhere near as well known as now but was still getting plenty of coverage at Yesterday's Airlines. Here's my original post on the October 2018 releases: https://www.yesterdaysairlines.com/model-airport-blog/ng-models-october-releases-757-787s
Note the old style logo NG were still using. It would be replaced the next month. I missed out on this model at the time but just picked it up from the recent Waffle Collection Sale. Although Air China operate 14 787-9s there have actually only been 4 releases in 400 scale (of which I own three). This one has a non-standard nosecone but NG have never made a standard version. NG's early 787s were criticised for having tall landing gear, but if anything it made the 787 look better than it does in real life!
