I do seriously wonder how one is able to achieve 3DD’s qualityAt this point I don’t think there’s any doubt that the quality of these models can compete with any of the established diecast brands, but I just wanted to share this. I decided to try and print my own crj-200 to do a custom model, and even after sanding it was no where near the quality that i can see from the 3DD models.
It’s resin printed. Not PLA. Resin tends to be on more industrial printers. Also, @OllieBHaas25 I was able to achieve a better result on my version of that CRJ-200 if we’re using the same file, which I think we are. It all depends on the printer!I do seriously wonder how one is able to achieve 3DD’s quality
I have it going on my resin printer right now so we’ll see how it turns out tomorrow. It’s resin printed. Not PLA. Resin tends to be on more industrial printers. Also, @OllieBHaas25
Starting up an Aussie collection so I’ll be needing that AirNorthHere are a few Aussie E120s that would be great to see:
VH-RPX - Regional Pacific. A now-defunct airline formerly based in Cairns and flew throughout Far-North Queensland.

VH-ANZ (any TL rego will do) - Airnorth. Only used on routes within the Northern Territory and sometimes on Darwin-Dili. The only E120 operator in Australia now.

VH-XFW (any rego will do) - Flight West. Former Ansett Subsidiary which flew all througout Queensland.

There are a couple others, but these are a start.
+1 on the AirNorth (I live in DRW so see them all the time!)Starting up an Aussie collection so I’ll be needing that AirNorth
I envy you… only Brasilias I see are Ameriflight cargo 120’s. I miss when it was in regular US service… flew on them a ton back in the early 2010s.+1 on the AirNorth (I live in DRW so see them all the time!)
It is possible. I had these resin printed some time ago and haven't had the chance to paint them. Dash 8 300 and b1900C. I also have a couple emb-120s and C212s in 1:400.I do seriously wonder how one is able to achieve 3DD’s quality
Oh wow. You have a resin printer? Aren’t they toxic to humans? (The fumes)I have it going on my resin printer right now so we’ll see how it turns out tomorrow.
yes very. i have like 4-5 air purifiers in that room alone, and the only thing the room is used for is 3d printing.Oh wow. You have a resin printer? Aren’t they toxic to humans? (The fumes)
Very toxic, you need very good ventilation and the liquid resin can’t get on anything because it leads to skin conditions. Not a fun material to work with.Oh wow. You have a resin printer? Aren’t they toxic to humans? (The fumes)
