Now that my flagship fictional airport is nearly complete, I am moving onto building my home airport, KRDM, in 400 scale. I am working on acquiring a board and getting it primed and painted.

After I get that done, I need a terminal. Fortunately I had one custom designed and printed by AviationWorld360 (Highly recommend).

Here is the area I will be recreating.

However, I have a problem now, which I need an opinion on. Recently, ground was broken on the first phase of the giant new KRDM expansion project, adding jet bridges and a new terminal building. My problem is, it’s set to be done in 2-3 years, and I will likely need a new terminal building. I might have to figure out a way to add the new terminal on top of the old one.

Anyhow, I will update this thread over time with progress reports, and later some displays.

Very cool! I think you should work using the terminal you already have, and build the airport in the current layout.
That’s the plan for now.
Maybe you could find a way to make the existing design modular with the new terminal building?
Good idea. I could perhaps cut the terminal into sections to replace with new sections of terminal. I will probably figure out a way to do this within the next few years.

With the terminal finally now shipping, it's time I go over my plans for the airport. I will be mainly recreating the present day, but I also intend to make retro updates of each year prior to 2026. I will be starting by covering 2019, which was a year of great change at KRDM (United flights to ORD + plus the first sightings of the Evo Blue livery, Sun Country, Allegiant, Alaska 737's).

For the present day, here is a list of aircraft that fly to RDM now, some I need to acquire, some I already have.

United: A319 (Evo), A320 (Evo), 737-800 (Unicon), 737-800 (Evo), 737-900 (Evo), 737-8 (Evo), 737-9 (Evo)
United Express: E175 (Evo), CRJ550 (Evo) (The CRJ2 has not flown to RDM since the pandemic.)

Alaska: E175, 737-800, 737-900, 737-8, 737-9
