Another update from tonight:
Matte coat complete and ready to start structure on the main terminal. Some of the first things I'll complete are the lower level walls that will take some leveling. I'll keep you all updated soon.
Thank you all again!
I decided to do a bit of reconstruction on the lower drive areas underneath the main terminal structure from the parking side as well as the air side. These areas dip down almost an average vehicle height to support garages, baggage carts, etc. This was a challenge to do...
Thank you!
The marks are just done with a white colored pencil. The old placement lines are usually white or dark grey on tarmacs. You can use traces or cut-outs like I've seen other people post on the forums. I've been using cut-out's for decades. Best to keep and re-use if needed. This...
Hello, all!
Here are some images of the tarmac (airside and landside) of the current terminal @ KAMA. You'll notice a lot of blotched cement discolored sections near the where the terminal will be. This is the second change the terminal tarmac went through from the cement sections of the old...
Hello, all!
This will be the next project on the horizon. I'm between work right now and have some time to start something a few states down from my last OMA project. I'll be working on Amarillo Int. Airport(1:400 scale) in the great state of Texas. My last project out of Texas was San...
Thanks again, everyone! Here's a little more detail on gates 2-7. These were at really awkward or hard angles to get right on touch with planes. I added a little tilt inward to the openings on the cabins / canopies. The Delta gates have added pronounced number signs on gates 2-5.
Hello all! OMA Concourse A is is finally complete(or sorta - I guess I'm never really done with the detail). I did end up touching up all the gates to provide more detail including about four perpendicular slider gates on 1,8,9 & 10. The slider gates look very old, maybe about from the 1980's...
This concourse actually has both. I usually do my own lighting, however, I ordered pole flood lights that I'm going to cut and airbrush. When I get around ill try to add the wall flood lights(which are extremely small). The ordered parts on the terminal include the jetways and light...
Here's a little update:
I had some time to do some airbrushing the last few days on some small details roofing vents, k-rails and such. I still have floodlights and some more detail to add so more to come! Thanks again everyone!
Yes sir - They were bought, then cut and customized with Evergreen Plastics by myself. The gates were a pain and I'll be still going over them with a bit of added detail to try and fit the OMA look.
A little update:
I turned this into a bit of a section model of the center part of terminal between concourse A and B (south and north). Thank you all again!
