Wishes for 2026?

I’m hoping to see more competitive A330 and A340 molds released. NG’s moulds seem quite good so far, but the number of releases has been very limited. As for other brands, their moulds don’t really stand out in comparison.
I’d also love to see more classic aircraft types, such as the 707 and 727. At this point, the market probably doesn’t need yet another new mould for modern aircraft like the 787 or A350. That said, this may be difficult to achieve, since the market for classic aircraft is likely limited mainly to aviation enthusiasts.

For my 2026 wish is for NG to finally release the “Sofia” and “Catfish” and to finally have a model on N375HA be made (the last airframe to bear the old livery in Hawaiians fleet) or a model of a one world Hawaiian A330 (N375HA issue to repaint into said livery)

I’m hoping a few things happen this year:

- For NG to utilize their molds a bit better (A340/767-200)
- Also for NG to find a good equilibrium on releasing CRP wishes to the normal monthly slate. (i guess for the USA to relax a bit too so there’s not as much tension there economically)
- Geminijets to really lean into this recent trend of retros the last few months. Would be awesome tog eat more cool retro stuff
- 3DDD to keep rapidly expanding like they did in 2025, exploring more new fun projects
- For JC to stop the future releases and just tell us what’s coming as it’s ready😭

I'm hoping that manufacturers will have a good mould usage, diverse releases, NG to make more of the approved wishes, less fantasy models and to see models actually hit the shelves (looking at you JC Wings and Aviation400).

Seeing ANY Pakistani model aircraft in 1/400 its been 4 years since the last PIA release in the scale😭

But on a more serious note, I would love to see more NG MD-80's, L-1011's, and hopefully more classic 747's in the scale.

My absolute biggest wish is for a brand new A220 mould. To be honest, the Herpa mold is pretty subpar, but 1:400 collectors are stuck with it because there are no other options. I know the Chinese market heavily dictates what gets made, which is why the C919 is getting released by every brand under the sun despite its limited operators. It’s a shame the A220 doesn't get the same treatment given how many airlines fly it worldwide.
I’m also desperate for more Alaska 737NGs in the standard livery. We’ve been flooded with special liveries and MAX models, but the basic, everyday 'Eskimo' livery is what’s actually missing from my fleet. We need more of the bread-and-butter releases!
Finally, I really hope manufacturers would stop neglecting Oceania. Except for Qantas, Air New Zealand and Jetstar, this area feels completely ignored. Virgin Australia is a major airline on Australia, but it's rarely loved by manufacturers. It's honestly frustrating for those looking to create a diverse Oceania collection.
Anyway, enough with my drunken rant. I’m just desperate for some decent models:) Thanks for listening to my ted talk, and Happy New Year everyone!

Completely agree with what you said on the Alaska 737NGs. Really need to pick some similar models up right now

I wish I could replace all my 1:400 SAS B736, 7 and 8 models with NG versions. Same for SAS 1:400 A319/20 and 21 on their mould. We also need an Icelandair B737 Max8 with yellow tail stripe from NG. Not done yet by anyone.

Happy New Year!

+1 for new A220 mould. The other manufacturers should really consider developing their own RJ moulds, JC/GJ arent reliable enough

My wishes didn't change much to previous years: State of the art moulds for 707-120/320/420, 727-100/200 and 747Classics.
HX's efforts on the 747 as well as V1s and ACs ressurection of outdated moulds put a massive damper on these wishes.

So what I'm really looking forward to is CRM's new 727-100 kit and to find the time to actually build it - among dozens of other kits/customs.

"Wishes for 2026?" >>> yes! Less hype for NG maybe?

and many more HX releases, hopefully more Western stuff

Wishes for 2026 . . . . . more than model specific - I'm more concerned about prices going through the roof.
Not only model prices themselves, but shipping as well.
Doesn't help that I live in a country where the currency is in free fall - and the government refuses to make any effort to stabilise it - to benefit their coterie of benefactor oligarchs and their export businesses. Falling ~20% against the Euro, ~13-16% against the GBP & MYR respectively - YonY figures.
So yeah - fingers crossed or I am looking at substantially curtailing my fleet building ambitions

No particular wishes regarding manufacturers because in 1:400 scale there is already everything possible and everything desiderable.
I would like more European charter/leisure airlines, maybe produced by NGModels, Phoenix or Gemini, the best manufacturers.
I would also like Herpa producing more 1:400 models, a regular collection like 1:500 scale.
The models i would like:

Neos B737 MAX8
AeroItalia B737-800WL
JetTime B737-700WL
HiSky A320
FlyOne A321
ETF Airways B737-800WL
Animawings A220-300
Hello Jets B737-800WL
ITA Airways A321neo
SkyAlps Dash 8-400
Corendon Dutch B737 MAX8
