Hi. Being extremely critical toward Herpa and its choices, i started to collect 1:400 scale some years ago reaching the nice quote of about 5.000 models. I started to collect 1:400 scale because Herpa 1:400 Euralair B737-800 "Frog tail" was beautiful and because in my "collector's mind" It wasn't possible not to have easyJet models in fleet! Herpa produced 1:500 Ryanair B737-800WL new generation 1 and Southwest still was one of Herpa workhorses in 1:500 scale. Then the German manufacturer lost Ryanair and Southwest licenses, great manufacturers like Big Bird, StarJets, Netmodels, Inflight500 failed and the feeling of disapponting was even greater. They were the years when Monarch still was the Queen of charter/leisure traffic, when easyJet was flying A319/320/321 and, for a short period, B757-200, while in 1:500 scale the only Monarch model produced by Herpa has been a ridiculous A321 "Will and Kate"...(along with three B757s produced by Netmodels and an A330-200 sample model). No bueno for a collector continuing to be happy for the usual Lufthansa, Qantas, Emirates re-re-re...re-releases! Civil Aviation world was and Is different, with some fundamental airlines that can't miss in scale models world, with some "comet" airlines living for a short period, with some great airlines living for about 80 years and then failing. This world must be represented in scale world and, honestly speaking, i am really tired to continue to read that Herpa has license problems...i am collecting since 1996 and Herpa's license problems are a reality since that year. Yes, Herpa decided and continues to decide to stay on the right part of the law, asking and paying for license, differently by so many manufacturers producing models without license. But when JCWings 1:500 produces an easyJet A321neo model i am really happy, while when Herpa continues not to produce easyJet, Ryanair, Southwest, Jet2holidays, Sky Express, Enter Air, Volotea etc. i am really frustrated and disappointed.
And then the 1:500 scale wish list Is meters long, while the 1:400 wish list Is really short because almost everything i lived and wanted has been produced, including the next marvellous Alitalia MD-11 announced by JCwings
This Is my 1:400 wishlist:

To complete, i have great confidence in Gemini and Phoenix for more European charter/leisure airlines, while i lost a lot of confidence in NGModels because in the last months/years Is producing always the same models and airlines and because the quality check Is no more almost perfect like the first years of this, anyway, great manufacturer.
