Which model(s) do you have more than one copy in your collection

Reason not sure, obviously wouldn't be for fleet building correct, unless you customize the reg #. So maybe accidentally placed an extra order or something else I'd like to hear šŸ™‚

For myself, just two for now:

JC Wings Etihad A380 "Choose the UK"
Big Bird II Cathay SOHK 747-200

Two Gemini Jets BA 744 Landor G-CIVI just because Landor 744s are hard to find, managed to get a Big Bird 744 Landor as well

Three Gemini Jets BA 744 Union Flag G-CIVN for customs

Iā€™ve got a few double ups

2x NG QF 747SP VH-EAA ā€œOchreā€ (1x damaged and the other is its replacement)

6x PH QF 737-800 VH-VZW (Fleet building, but the prices were too good to resist šŸ˜…)

2x NG Jetstar A321LR VH-OFE (Also fleet building, the second was from NGā€™s CRP)

I have a couple of duplicates also. American Trans Air 757-212 N757AT by AeroClassics...1 had a deformed fuselage, the other is the replacement...I also have 2 copies of Gemini Jets ATA 737-83N N301TZ....the 2nd one re-registered N332TZ with decals from Draw Decals for fleet-buildiing.

I have 2 GJ Q-link Q400's (VH-QOA), one I got for pretty much free because it is missing a Main LG, will try to repair it one day, for the fleet building. Also have 2 Alaska cargo 737-400F because my Uncle got one for me as a Xmas present ages ago, but already had one. Will try and sell it when I find the 2nd copy.

I've got:
3 emery worldwide dc8-71s
3 piedmont airlines 727-200s
3 piedmont airlines f28s
3 usair 727-200s
2 panam 727-200s

all in 1:600 scale, bought for fleet building or to recreate my airport in dayton

13 GJ United A319s in evo blue (1:400)
7 GJ Delta 757s (1:400)
5 NG Delta A321s
A lot more sets I could list šŸ˜‚

So far 4 Viasa DC-10-30s with reg. YV-135C. It is the only 1:400 DC-10 in that particular livery. I don't want to change the regs, but I plan to use them for diorama settings.

Also have two Phoenix KLM/Viasa PH-BUG, and two Aeroclassics Viasa Caravelles.

I also have two Vasrig 737-400s by Panda, which I ordered twice by accident. I'm looking to get rid of both of them šŸ¤£.

I think the author of the thread meant more than one copy of the same model. If it is the same aircraft done by different manufacturers, or if they have different regs (regardless of manufacturer), does not count.

But there was only one of the real thing! :rolleyes:šŸ¤£

Yes, also only one PH-BUG, and I have three (1 AC, 2 PH). It goes without saying that I would not use those on a diorama, at least not on a realistic one. I have used my two copies of N749WA (one AC, one Magic) on a diorama though, but just for fun. Since I have been able to afford more airplane models, I like to get more than one copy of Venezuelan releases. I usually can find someone to gift one to and such.

Speaking of, I've got a new record:

Did you get five to try to make one accurate Aeroclassics model?

šŸ¤£ In reality I got five because (off the top of my head) that was the actual number of orange tailed 722s that Viasa had at one given time. But yes, I also figured it increased my chances of getting a good one. To be fair they are all pretty good, the main issue is some wing bending with, lo and behold, all but one of them (not too bad though).

Plot twist, I actually got six, the missing one is sitting at Eztoys warehouse waiting for its 1:200 counterpart coming from El Aviador/IF200. I'm planning to keep the five for fleet-building purposes, the sixth one I know plenty of people back home that would kill to get their hands on one, and I would be beyond thrilled to send one example back home; where they belong, for free of course.

Do the reg change and make the real fleet.

I have quite a few repeated but most are future custom victims.

The repeated ones that are safe from the paint thinner I believe are:

Dragon AA 727-200
Phx Air Holland 767-300
NG Copa 737-800 regular winglets (maybe safe)
Aeroclassics KLM A310
