Updated Phoenix 787

Phoenix-model have been doing a lot of work recently to upgrade their moulds and they have just sent me these photos of the modified 787-9 that will be coming soon. It features all new wings and new nosegear, plus has the modified under-fuselage from last year. It looks like a big improvement and may just make the Phoenix 787 competitive with the Aviation400, NG Models and JC Wings versions.

that one needs to be thrown away and started from scratch, I believe... too many things to do!

They aren't updating the 747s

Phoenix has already covered a lot of ground with the 747 classics, makes no sense to upgrade the mold this late into the game. If I’d have to guess, they probably relied on the iconic status of the airframe to be enough of a selling point regardless of the mold being kind of ugly.

As a side note, remember that not everyone collects purely for ultra-accuracy and level of detail. Some people are content with a model of certain aircraft in certain livery, with other things being added pluses.
