Back in April 2022 a version of the Aeroclassics release flyer appeared pre-release including a Continental hybrid and PeoplExpress 727-200 on it that had both disappeared when the official announcement was made. Later on I learned the factory had messed up the fuselage colour so badly even AK wouldn't release them (in fact it was AK who told me) - officially anyway. In recent years I've seen a couple in the wild and recently had the opportunity to pick up the CO hybrid aircraft. Seems the models were released on the sly rather than being scrapped. I couldn't resist picking this one up to see how it looks. Of course the base fuselage colour should be a cream, but clearly on the model it is pink that the factory had used. It's almost an understandable error - quite a funny one.
