My Ansett Fleet

Time flies. It was about a month ago that I finally got around to posting my TAA fleet and given the Carvair purchase I guess it is a good time to take a look at Ansett, which has had a much larger number of releases. This is partly because Ansett had such a diverse fleet and range of subsidiaries in the 80s and 90s. Not counting Ansett NZ there have been about 90 releases from a wide range of brands. In my fleet I have 36, which covers the vast majority of options for this iconic Aussie brand:

Gorgeous! I sold the last of my Ansett collection early this year, however the Delta livery still has a special place in my heart. Awesome collection there my friend.

It's a gorgeous fleet indeed! But only one Jumbo... you need the B747-300 released by Dragon aswell. Easy to find!

Speaking of Ansett, always have the Herpa 762 in mind. The model cost a fortune in the late 90s

There's only so many stands you can fit in and those Dragon stands are a pain footprint wise (they're about the same size as a 727). I must have about 200 models on stands in my collection.

Gorgeous. Ansett was always on the cutting edge when it came to livery design - definitely edgier than the flag carrier - including during their Eurowhite turn with those Southern Cross inspired tails - except the one with the 'A' lol - which isn't that great.
Though my preferred one is obviously the classy Delta / Chevron one. Spectacular.

There was a DW 722 lingering on Prairie for quite a while some time ago - but yeah, I decided to let it go. Couldn't afford opening another airline account
