I was just asked about the mighty Coot so it seems a good moment to take a look at the big Soviet turboprop in 400 scale. There have been two bursts of activity for the type and the last in 2022 saw 11 releases. Of course, there's still scope for more so take a look here for a review of what's been made, what the mould's like and what's left to make:

Lovely old bird! That Aerocaribbean release is so nice, that tropical livery is great!!! I'd like to see a Balkan release in the green and red scheme. These used to visit Recife back in the late 1980s/early 90s!

The Aerocaribbean is the only Il-18 in my collection. There are a lot of cool photos of that bird at CCS, although I don't think I ever got to see it.

Soviet airplanes are always a treat to see around.
