Model Review - Spring Airlines Airbus A320 by Kylin Model

2025 has seen a big uptick in the number of new manufacturers, not just brands using existing moulds. Kylin Model is the latest and having spoken with them they seem to have big plans. Can they back them up with a quality product though? With the initial release of A320s I'd say yes they can. This Spring A320 wouldn't look out of place in an NG or Panda box and I'm liking Kylin's interest and willingness to improve too.

I sensed some sniffiness in some of the other threads about Kylin, but although not perfect, I'm liking what I'm seeing here.

It may seem like almost every new release is Chinese nowadays, but outside the Big 3 Chinese airlines a lot of other Chinese carriers aren't very well represented. That has begun to change this year with Aero Polaris and now Kylin Models joining the fray.

Looks pretty good, though the wheel details still don’t match NG’s. Probably not a big issue on narrow-body planes.

I think the Kylin's are in between the two. The Kylin's are selling for around 260-285. NG's are often over 300 I think. Panda barely makes any self-branded models anymore.

The shape of the winglets look strange to me maybe too inclined. They remind me of JC E-jets winglets...
The gears are fine, although the nose gear is a little chunky. NG got it better.
Still a decent mould, and better than JC and PHX offerings

EDIT: Now I see that the winglet correction was mentioned in the review

Winglets are the first and only thing I see on it. Otherwise it looks just fine for an A320! If they can somehow fix the winglet mistake these will all be decent models!
