3D Design Deck is for me the go-to place for regional airliners in 400 scale in terms of variety and, increasingly, also finish. There are still some limitations to what the printing can achieve but unless you are zooming in they don't stand out. I'd argue their models are as good, and often better, than other regional competition. The DHC-8-Q400 is one of their newest types and in this week's review I take a close up look at C-GGNZ:

A truly beautiful model. 3DD is doing a fantastic work with these 3D printed models. I do agree about the nosegear size and the cockpit windows, though. These could still be improved.

I remember when GJ had some Dash 8-Q400s with awfully long main gear legs. The models used to have a huge nose down attitude. Very innacurate... they looked like a Kangaroo or a T-Rex 🫣 😅

Great review as always. I recently got this model after seeing it in person. The pictures don't do it justice, it really is great. It does have it's drawbacks, mainly everything you said in the review. For me the main issues are the drooping windshield and the bottom of the engine nacelles.

I had been holding on these since the -100/300 series had too many things I couldn't ignore. But when I saw this one in person, it had to come along. Hopefully the new release of the 100/300 series comes with all those fixes a lot of us have suggested. And can't wait to get my hands on a few B1900d's.

I could only wish they would sell blank unassembled models for customs.

Great work! @3D Design Deck
