For those 'youngsters' that think a Tristar or MD-80 is a classic this recent purchase Lockheed L-749 Constellation says 'hold my beer'. ZS-DBR 'Cape Town' was delivered new to SAA in 1950 and flew with them for 9 years. After storage it was converted to a freighter for ACE Freighters, flying with them until being broken up in 1967. Despite the seam and age of the model (2005) this is still a great mould and lovely release.

The addition of the SAA Connie gave me the impetus to revisit and rewrite my old mould review for the short Connie, of which there have only been 19 releases in 400 scale to date. That's a shame, although Aeroclassics has a 200 scale version of the mould it has been using more recently we haven't seen those models repeated in 400.
