The three China special schemes announced a few days back by NG have actually been available in China for a month or more and so I was able to acquire them from Taobao in December. They arrived at the hangar yesterday and are great examples of lovely special colours from the PRC.

First up is the Beijing Capital A330-200 B-8982 featuring a dragon, panda, T Rex and Minions for the Universal Resort. Technically by BOB Models - honest!

B-5598 was painted by China Southern into this attractive scheme in September 2023 to celebrate the 20th China-ASEAN Expo held at Nanning in the same month. The livery features 'representative buildings of ASEAN countries - symbolizing the blending of Chinese and ASEAN civilizations and the vision for mutual creation and benefits.' I particularly like how colourful the underside is. Model by NG Models

Last of the three is another 2023 China Southern 737-800. This one wears a scheme highlighting an environmental initiative undertaken by the airline in the far West Xinjiang Hotan region and is named 'Xinjiang Hotan Rural Revitalization'. That year, the group's executives made multiple visits to Hotan, Xinjiang and signed a framework agreement for promoting high-quality development and rural revitalization. This seems primarily focused on solar power and planting tree windbreaks to allow for industrial flower and agriculuture growth reducing desertification on the edge of the Taklimakan Desert.

I like this one, my kids love to stare at my special livery jets. This one would certainly catch their attention.

Another lovely China special just arrived from China is a rendition of B-5422, which I believe still wears the Fenghuang / Phoenix Miles scheme to this day having been originally painted upon delivery in March 2009. This model is by Undefined Collectibles, using the Panda Models mould, and replaces a 2009 Phoenix edition in my collection. This model comes with a nice credit-card style collectors card informing me this is 218 of 220.

Gorgeousness! This is one of the prettiest amongst the many pretty Chinese ones!
Hope 'someone else' makes the CA narrow body specials - this and the Peony jets. So that they're widely accessible beyond the mainland
