Hi everyone has anyone ever caught a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 that had a mismatched part? For example. I don’t live in the US, so I haven’t seen any SWA livery hybrids, but there are one or two Qantas aircraft in the old scheme that have engine cowlings with the new logo on them, or vice-versa.

It seems to be a common problem with any airline going through a protracted livery change. Even the RAF A330 MRTT fleet which are all grey with the one exception of the 'Boris Jet' which is the Union Jack all white scheme, that occasionally appears with a part grey cowling. Aer Lingus seem to have a load of mismatched cowlings just now as well, and the British Airways Negus retro 744, which arrived at its museum home with all correct grey cowlings has now had several swapped out for BA blue versions. Go figure that one out ? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Can confirm when I lived in new zealand. I caught a couple qantas a330s with both logos on the cowling. Pre covid a couple a380s had the same thing after they were repainted into the new livery

May have to look through my archives to find any with mismatched parts. I don't know any off the top of my head.

Not a southwest but was browsing FlightRadar when I found this photo of a United 767-200ER in Evo Blue Scheme with Continental Radome.20BF1020-FF4E-48A2-8523-04803EE38776.jpeg
I also found this photo, the engines look mismatched?

Just recently caught is a qantas 737-800 in the old livery. Weirdly only one winglet is wearing the new fully red scheme with the kangaroo on it. the other sides winglet is the old white inside.
