As a person new to collecting, is JetCollector the best there is?

So, I'm new to collecting and I have 5 models so far. The first one I got off the GeminiJets website. The model, an American Eagle retro E170, arrived fine, but when I went shopping again, I realized that there are other sites that offer more selection and are cheaper. I found JetCollectors had a good variety and good prices, so I ordered 4 models from them, and they came in great condition and packed well with way too many packing peanuts. Now I'm looking for new stuff again. Should I stick with JetCollectors or try a new site?

Avoid Waffle if you can, the owner is extremely rude and unpleasant guy to deal with if something goes bad.

I don't agree with this. He is always fair and straight, never had any issue with him. I bought over 100 models from his store, there were about 5 or 6 times the plane come with defect and he arranged new exchange models within a day. Twice there were missing antennas and he literally shipped two antennas to me to place it on. Waffle is great and safe to buy. Also fair prices (like many new NG and Phoenix are still at $53.95 unlike many other retailers who already sell them in the 60s).

You know there are tons of people who had a terrible experience when dealing with him, right?

In the past maybe, but in recent times (past 3 years onward) I think more and more people have expressed pleasant experiences with him.
As of late it seems he has his acquaintance deal with the customer service side of things and she is very pleasant to do business with. I have never actually dealt with Waffle himself which I hear his reputation proceeds himself.

Have used JetCollector a bunch and they've never let me down. They were also easy to work with the one time I received a defective model from them.

Keji, I really wish I could say the same, I also bouth a lot from them, and most of the models were good but some had problems, which for the most part they found solutions for, the problem was communication, they would not answer me at all or answer in a rude way by email, I gave them my number and Michale Warfel finally called my back insulting me with derogative language, too ugly to post it here. All this happened in February of 2026. His voice was trembling, infuriated, and saying the same insults he uses when he gets a bad revire on ebay. Waffle Collectibles is a real asset for the community but the owner's attitute when things don't go his way is rude and unprofessional. Believe me, I have received broken, defective, zin rotted models, I have purchased things that do not exist, or the wrong model in the "right" box, while still, the "right" is model being advertised in their web site; you name a problem with a vendor, I had had it with him. I have also aquired nice models which I am very happy for, and have also received very nice, respectful and professional emails from Masha and even from Michael in good days. They are hard working people, they bring joy to many collectors but this man may need help to organize his store and may also need a Psychiatrist or a long vacation.
