It’s a fine set. The delta 757-300 is interesting but too big for Ironwood… right now!View attachment 71832
A nice set with a lot of models from the previous few 400 scale sets… also some new stuff I hope gets made in 400 scale too.
Highlights for me in this set are the United standard livery 767-300ER, the Lufthansa A340-600 and the Alaska Dreamliner.
Hope these make it to 400 next month.
Cockpit window placement is always hit or miss with Gemini models and can make or break the final product. Will wait to see release photos. Delta 753 and United 763 are possibilities. It’s a fine set. The delta 757-300 is interesting but too big for Ironwood… right now!
200 will probably look very good! It’s gonna be a lot more expensive so it’s hard to compare…What do we think of the AA 777 Flagship? I quite like it, but can’t decide between NG at 400 or GJ at 200. Which will be the better model (I haven’t bought any 200 before)?
It's not so much about the $$, moreso whether the GJ is going to be up to scratch, given that they seem to be the only 1:200 making this livery at the moment. I see GJ is copping a bit of a battering in the 1:400 forum, so wondering if their 1/200 is perhaps of a better standard.200 will probably look very good! It’s totally mold dependent on what you get in 1:200 scale. They produce some good stuff if you know which molds they’re strongest at. Stay away from their A319, A320, A321 and A321 neo’s. There 757’s are middle of the road and I would look to Inflight200 for any 757. They have a really great 747-400 / 747SP and their 737’s are pretty good if they put the wings on correctly. I have with experience found to always compare the Inflight200 options as they’re almost always better and will surprise you. It's not so much about the $$, moreso whether the GJ is going to be up to scratch, given that they seem to be the only 1:200 making this livery at the moment. A319 and A320’s are fine, but many come with horrible gear issues as they have fixed gear down and they get pushed to far down, making them bend or break. It’s totally mold dependent on what you get in 1:200 scale. I still think they are pretty poor overall. If you ever get an Inflight200 A319 or A320 in your hand they blow Gemini out of the water in all regards.A319 and A320’s are fine, but many come with horrible gear issues as they have fixed gear down and they get pushed to far down, making them bend or break.
