NG B737-8AL Skymark Airlines JA73AB 1:400

In 2021, to revitalize the civil aviation industry, Skymark Airlines and several other carriers joined hands with The Pokémon Company to launch the "Flying Pikachu Project", and this aircraft was among the relatively early models rolled out under the initiative. The fuselage boasts a vibrant yellow color, adorned with a Pikachu motif holding balloons, making it extremely eye-catching and recognizable. The cabin interior—including seats, headrests—as well as amenities like tableware and paper cups, all feature themed elements.

Skymark Airlines itself is known for its playful liveries. The winglets of its Boeing 737-800 fleet each sport distinct designs, and this particular aircraft is decorated with four pink little flowers. Other winglet patterns include, but are not limited to, red hearts, blue hearts, green clubs, black clubs and blue diamonds, to name a few. The lively vibe of the Pikachu livery perfectly echoes these delightful winglet.

NG Models has delivered an outstanding rendition with this scale model, which barely has any noticeable flaws. It features excellent mold accuracy, sharp and precise detailing, along with solid and neat assembly. Given the high difficulty of the printing process, the paint finish is slightly less smooth compared to regular liveries, with visible layering effects.
