The serial number (MSN) of B-18206 is 29030, and the line number (LN) is 1145. The aircraft made its first flight at Boeing Paine Field (PAE/KPAE) on February 11, 1998. It is equipped with four Pratt & Whitney PW4056 turbofan jet engines. From September 2011 to September 2015, B-18206 was painted with the special "SkyTeam" livery, becoming one of the two 747s of China Airlines wearing the SkyTeam color scheme. After that, it was repainted with China Airlines' standard livery. The aircraft was finally retired on March 28, 2016, and transported to Victorville, California for storage on April 7, 2016. B-18206 was ultimately dismantled at the same location in October 2023, ending its 25.6-year service life.
