PT 747-123 (SCA) NASA N905NA carrying the Space Shuttle Endeavor
Manufactured by HX
N905NA was delivered on October 28, 1970, and initially served in the American Airlines fleet. It was transferred to NASA on July 18, 1974, for space-related missions and concluded its operations on September 24, 2012.
N905NA is PT's first SCA model. Subsequent 747 SCA models by HX will likely be exclusively sold by PT.
The model is generally satisfactory, with excellent shape accuracy, a smooth paint finish, and precise, detailed printing. The brackets on the fuselage back are plastic parts—though they have finer details, they are more fragile than alloy ones. PT thoughtfully includes a set of spare parts. The space shuttle is entirely made of plastic with high-quality printing, especially the textured details of the heat-resistant tiles.
